I am not very good at designing slides. Whenever a teacher asks for a presentation, my first thought is usually, "How will I finish this?" A few months ago, I started using online presentation websites and they made the work much easier.

The thing I like most is that I do not need to install anything. I just open a website, sign in, and start working. Sometimes I even make small changes from my phone when I am travelling.

I have noticed that students often spend too much time choosing colors and animations. I used to do that too. Later I realized that simple slides with clear points look better than slides full of effects.

Another helpful thing is that online tools save work automatically. Once my laptop battery died while I was working. I thought everything was gone, but when I opened the file again, most of the work was still there.

For group assignments, these websites are useful because everyone can add their own part. There is no need to keep sending different versions of the same file.

I do not think there is a perfect presentation website. Some people like tools with many design options, while others prefer something simple. It depends on personal choice.

At the end of the day, a presentation is mainly about sharing information. If the message is clear, the slides do not need to be fancy. That is probably the biggest lesson I learned after making several presentations during my studies.
